Okay, this is another thing I can’t stand about Tom Preston. This blue character is obviously him, and the red characters are his haters. He’s made this so you see the red group as the EVIL ONES and the blue person as the ONLY SENSIBLE SOUL IN A HARSH WORLD! Once again, it’s a struggle with strawmen. But imagine if the blue person said something like “Let’s kill people!” or (something that Preston has really said) “It’s anime, so it’s automatically bad!”. And his haters aren’t against him because it’s the statue quo, we’re against him because his art is bad and he’s said so many things that offend people. So in that sense, is improving your art and thinning out your haters by just being a good person supposed to be the last panel? Does he think that being a better artist like people have told him to makes him ONE OF THE CROWD?! Only idiots will hate you for having a different opinion, unless your opinion is hateful.
In addition to that, this completely ignores the fact that he has a ton of people who fawn over his work like sheep. He is purposefully playing the victim in his strawman argument, which immediately becomes invalid once you realize that his fanbase is larger than the few vocal people he hasn’t blocked on DeviantART yet.

it’s a shame this comic says absolutely nothing of value when it’s probably his best, most expressive art I’ve seen from him in years. It just is in a comic that literally means nothing when you actually analyze it.
Just more of Tom Preston being a martyr, same old same old. Everyone hates his ignorant, unresearched, biased opinions poor him.
